WonHundred Word Wednesdays

Most vivid amongst the memories of his hometown was the old tire swing where she used to tell him stories. He had known her since the day she moved in. She’d been so happy and full of life, excited to experience new adventures.

They would take turns pushing each other on the swing and shared tales of castles, knights, and dragons.

He could still see where their names had been carved into the tree. This is where he’d proposed. This is where they’d brought their children to play each summer. He laid the rose in the tire and walked away.

Now see what everyone else came up with!

  3. This is sad and sweet. You can just imagine the great life they had together. Also, dragon reference for the win.

  4. Very tender and wonderful memories. A tire swing in a tree with names carved on it is just a perfect setting.
