WonHundred Word Wednesdays

"No matter what you hear, no matter how badly you want to, do NOT open your eyes.” He was always doing this. I came home from work to find my apartment dark and a blindfold immediately put on my eyes. I decided just to go along with it as he guided me down to the car, smiling at his excited laugh. I judged by the length of the drive that we were headed to the airport. This was his favorite way to surprise me. When he finally took off the blindfold, I gasped at the tickets taking us to Hawaii.

Jenny’s had it with her life. Six siblings in an overstuffed house are enough to drive anyone crazy, and sometimes she dreams of escaping to some fantasy world. Now stuck in a medieval land of castles and royalty, when Jenny learns that the queen has agreed to marry her off to the prince, it’s time to take matters into her own hands. She goes on a quest to find out who dragged her to this time while trying to keep from falling in love with either of the boys vying for her attention. Princess Genevieve has only known life under her mother’s rule. She wants to do more than go to battle or deal with suitors. She wakes to find herself in a new world filled with gadgets, electricity, and moving carriages. She finally has the freedom to be who she wants to be with a family who cares deeply for her and a boy worth any sacrifice. WonHundred Wednesdays

Welcome again! I'm a little late today, but here we go!

“The truth about love is, you never know what you’ve got until it’s gone.” I set my pencil down and stared at the sentence. I didn’t want to learn that truth. The love of my life had been my best friend. But when I let jealousy get in the way, it ruined everything. It was easy enough to remedy though. I’d messed it up once and I wasn’t about to do it again. I could do one of two things. I could close myself off and never love again. Or I could start over, preferably with the adorable new guy.

WonHundred Word Wednesdays

I hadn’t been up in the attic for months. There were too many bad memories. So when the police came knocking on my door and demanded that they see what was up there, I was shocked. I tried to tell them I had never heard of the man they wanted. I tried to tell them that someone was home all day long and there was no way anyone could have gotten in. But they wouldn’t listen. They never listen. I stood frozen in the attic doorway. The large, creepy box hidden in the back of that small space wasn’t mine.

Warrior Everlasting by Wendy Knight

I am so super excited about this book. I loved Warrior Beautiful and I've been looking forward to get my hands on Warrior Everlasting.

Here is the blurb:

Fighting alongside the boy you shouldn't love is hard enough. Doing it while riding a unicorn who would gleefully fly to her death with you on her back is worse. What makes it insane?  Doing it in hell.  Scout and her unicorn, Ashra, risked everything just to make it into Aptavaras. Their plan is to free Scout’s family and the stolen souls, and seek vengeance on the man who took everything Ashra had once lived for. What they hadn’t counted on was Trey and his unicorn, Torz, following them.  It might be the only thing that will save them. >Because in Aptavaras, the soul stealers are many and the chances of survival are slim. Even if they can get past the demons, trick the demon master, rescue the souls and escape with their lives, there’s only one person who can open the gate, and he’s on the outside defending the world. But Scout, Trey, Ashra and Torz have one thing the soul stealers don’t—
A reason to live.

Want a snippet? Here it is!

"You’re mad.”

She sighed. “I’m too tired for this right now, Trey. If you want Kylin, then—”

He glared at her. “You lose faith in me that quickly, Scout? I’ve been in love with you since I was eight years old. See these?” He held up his arm with the leather bands tied around his wrist. “Nine of them. One for each year I’ve loved you. I loved you when you hated me. I loved you when you were dancing for some other guy. I loved you when I watched you throw yourself off your unicorn eight billion feet above the ground.” Scout opened her mouth, but no sound came out. Instead, tears trickled down her cheek. Finally, she knew what those leather bands meant. And her heart swelled.
“Just because I talk to Kylin doesn’t mean I’m going back to her. What have I ever done to make you doubt me, Scout? And if you say the hospital—” His glare was more fierce than she’d ever seen it. Clearly, he’d heard enough about the hospital.

Scout smiled, scrubbing at her tears. “Nothing, Trey. You’ve done nothing to make me doubt you. I’m sorry. I’m just tired and insecure.”

His hand shot out, circling her waist, and he pulled her into him, so close she could feel his heart pounding inside his chest, and he kissed her like he would literally die if he didn’t. There was pain and fury and hope and love in that kiss. Scout rose on her toes and slid her arms around his neck, kissing him back, hoping he could feel that she felt the same way.

Doesn't it sound amazing??? You can buy it here: Amazon and Barnes and Noble

Exciting Events Happening!

It has been a crazy last few months and it just keeps on going!  I have had three books release and I have another two coming out in the next couple months. I'm exhausted but it has been amazing.

The Princess and the Prom Queen came out on April 29th ~ my birthday! It was a great way to celebrate. I have had great feedback from it. The book came from a daydream I had growing up: What if I were to wake up and suddenly find out I'm a princess?

So what's the book about? Here is the synopsis:

Jenny’s had it with her life. Six siblings in an overstuffed house are enough to drive anyone crazy, and sometimes she dreams of escaping to some fantasy world. When she suddenly wakes up to find herself being kissed by a strange—but very handsome—prince, Jenny knows her life just got a lot more exciting.

It’s more than everything she always wanted.

As Jenny and Genevieve settle into their new lives, they face an unknown evil which threatens everything they care about and makes them face tough questions—like who they are and what they really want their lives to become.

Want to buy it? Find it here: Amazon and Barnes and Noble

On June 1st my book, Best of Luck, will release through Wee Creek. This is book three in the Luck series and I can't wait to see what everyone thinks. Megan, Jared, and Beth have been a big part of my life over the last few years and I'm sad to see it done.

And in July, I'm doing something that hasn't really been done before. I joined a collaboration with five other amazing authors and we created a series of books about Atlantis. Think 39 Clues but this is a little different. Each of us follow different characters as they fight to save Atlantis.

Want to learn more about them? Check out our website at www.gatesofatlantis.com

We plan to do several different launches to kick off the release of the books. If you want us at your school or function, let us know!

Want to know more about the other authors? You can go to the website above, or the links are below:

It has been a whirlwind year and I'm excited with the new books I have set to write. Want to see a little of my latest project? Check it out on my wattpad page.

WonHundred Word Wednesdays

You know what they say, chocolate is a woman’s best friend. Or at least that’s what I say. I grab every style of chocolate I can find and throw it into my cart. My heart was torn out and there is only one thing that will help me feel better. A night with chick flicks, tissues, and—wait, what was that? I pull out my phone to see a picture of my boyfriend holding a bouquet of roses, begging for forgiveness. I glance at my cart and walk away. You know what they say, there’s always room for second chances.
