The urge to interrupt him before he had finished was overwhelming. I had heard it all before. He would say he was going to change, but never did. I almost had the script memorized.
Except this time he had a twist. This time instead of empty promises, he showed me his new job title, along with the deed to a new house. It was a cute little house with a white picket fence and a tree with a rope swing in the front yard.

But it didn’t stop there. He pulled out a ring and got down on one knee.

Here's the synopsis for The Dream Keeper:

When an evil shifter takes over the gateway to the realm of Dreams, it falls to 14-year-olds Parker and Kaelyn to stop him. Their only hope lies with Gladamyr, the Dream Keeper, but can they trust a Nightmare to save their world?

Seriously, this book is awesome. And introducing the audiobook to The Dreamstone.

Here is the synopsis:

When Parker’s mom is dreamnapped by the wicked Mab, it is up to him and Kaelyn to save her. When they return to Dreams, they discover Mab isn’t their only problem. Gladamyr has lost his powers and the only way to get them back is to become what he fears the most—a nightmare.

I love when my prompts take a different turn than what I thought it would. I hope you enjoy!

The pink glove lay on the ground, almost covered in mud. I thought all of my perfect night had disappeared at midnight. I picked it up and wiped it off, trying to figure if it was for sure mine. I looked up at the castle looming over the village and saw the prince looking out from the balcony. I wanted to wave, but I knew he would never know me. Not dressed like I was. I picked up the baskets I’d been carrying and went on my way. Dreams might come true, but not for me. Not for a commoner.

WonHundred Word Wednesdays

It's that time again! I'm sure a few moms and dads would understand this one.

It was time. She'd fought against it for so long, but she knew she had to start it sometime. The kids had emptied every single box of toys into the living room and she’d dreaded having to pick them up. She could get mad. It was frustrating enough. She could make them clean it up, but she knew they would play more than they’d clean. The kids had been warned to clean it themselves, but they hadn’t listened to her. She pulled out a garbage bag, and grinned as she picked up the first toy and shoved it deep inside.

WonHundred Word Wednesdays

It was just for one night, right? I could do this. I looked up at the old, rundown house and gulped. I shouldn’t have taken the dare, but I had no choice. They would have told everyone at school about my crush. I picked up my pillow, blanket and flashlight and crept slowly to the front door. I stopped as I caught movement in one of the windows.

“H—hello?”

No answer, but the curtains rustled. Shivers ran down my spine, but I kept going up the steps. I avoided the holes in the porch and opened the creaky door.

Now go check out the others!

WonHundred Word Wednesdays

She had to find the necklace before everyone else. The value of the diamond inside surpassed anything she’d gone searching for in the past. She’d researched its whereabouts for years and just as she found its location, a coworker had leaked the news. Now it was a race to get to the pyramid and secure it. The problem was that the security at the airport was taking too long and she knew she’d miss her flight. Her phone vibrated and she checked the text, smiling. Her partner had come through after all. She ran straight for the helicopter waiting outside.
