WonHundred Word Wednesdays

The old house, with its wildly overgrown garden, was silent, secretive, and exactly what I’d wanted. I’d had to see it for myself before I agreed to take it over from my grandmother.

I stepped inside and smiled at the cobwebs and spiders scurrying about. This was perfect. I needed to be alone to practice my magic, and the creepy, haunted feeling was enough to keep anyone away.

Yes, this would do nicely. I signed the papers and zapped them to my attorney. With a flick, my bags were unpacked, and a fire roared in the fireplace. Time to begin.
