WonHundred Words Wednesday

As he took in the view from the twentieth floor, the lights went out all over the city. It was too early. Things wouldn’t be ready until tomorrow.

He pulled out his phone and called his team. “What do you think you’re doing? It’s not ready yet.”

“Sorry, boss, but this wasn’t us. We’ve been compromised.” There was shouting in the background. “I gotta go.” The line went dead.

If it had been compromised, he’d already be dead. It could only mean thing. His orders were overridden. It was ready. He only hoped his team would get out in time.

Now check out the rest!

  1. i love the suspense Jaclyn. What a great start. I wonder where the team is and why all of the city lights had to be turned off.
