He had waited twenty years to return it, but he needed the perfect moment to make it right. Now as he readied himself for the evening, he took a peek at it again.
He smiled, remembering how she’d dropped it as she’d run from the ball. He thought he’d never see her again, but a trip to every house in the kingdom found her locked up in the kitchen of a small house.
She was his dream come true, and had shown it every single day since then. He pulled out the glass slipper and polished it one more time.
Now go see the others!

Another delightful take on Cinderella. Personally I hope it doesn't take my prince twenty years to find me. I might get over him before then.
ReplyDeleteThat is quite a long time, isn't it?
DeleteVery devoted. 20 years to find her. Poor them, hope the next 20 years are much happier for both of them.
