WonHundred Word Wednesdays

The accident wasn't her fault, but it would be very hard to prove it. Her fingerprints were everywhere, and the gun was registered under her name.

She took a cloth and rubbed out as many of the prints as she could before leaving the scene for help.

There’d been something about that babysitter that had worried her, but she’d brushed it away. It wasn’t until she’d found the gun missing and money stolen from the safe that her fears were confirmed.

When her husband hadn’t come back from taking the babysitter home, she’d gone to investigate. She was too late.

  1. It's very intriguing and makes you wonder who did what. A nice start to a mystery.
