WonHundred Word Wednesdays





Under normal circumstances he would speak his mind, but, with a gun against his head, he chose to keep his mouth shut. It wasn’t that it would do much good anyway. They’d already made their decision. He was the weak link in the chain according the chief, and that was grounds for death.

He swallowed and waited for the final verdict. He had given some very valuable information that could help him survive, but the chief was taking his time getting back to the group. The mocking insults he had to endure made the time drag on.


The phone rang.
