He knew he must keep very still while he waited, but it was difficult when he had to sneeze. He was allergic to the flowers that lined the bushes where he hid.
Just a few more minutes, and he’d be able to leave.
But then the wind picked up, blowing the pollen into his face. He quickly wiped his face, and grabbed a handkerchief from his pocket. The movement earned him some glares from the others, but there was nothing he could do.
A door slammed, and there were whispers of “He’s here!” One second longer. He could do it.
